Traditional Sepik River bridal headdress. Woven from naturally grown bush vines which are finely stripped, then dried to be made into the twine, then the intricate headdress design is elaborately decorated from top to bottom with many nassa shells . The lowest end part features a small woven crocodile head followed by a white cowrie shell at the tip. On the side of the head piece there are strings of small nassa, cowrie and cockle shells for further enhancement.
