Solomon Islands Ebony Canoe

An absolutely  stunningly beautiful, model replica of a traditional Solomon Islands  war canoe, which has been skilfully  carved out from the top quality ebony hardwood, (King Ebony) .

Positioned upon a small ebony display stand this model has been carved from locally sourced King Ebony with-in the Solomon's and carved with great detail and skill. The exquisite  Mother-of-Pearl traditional in-laid art design is also of the highest and intricate form which makes this piece of art the highest quality. The bow has has the iconic ancestral figure head, locally called a "Zguzu",  adjoined to the canoe on the front bow, was the tradition during head hunting raids along the coast and attacks to tribes on other islands and coastal villages.
